Sometimes, Jade is either stabilized or enhanced. This is referred to as different types of grades. So grade A types of Jade, would be the Jadeite that would have had surface waxing, but that is all. It would of received nothing else. Grade B types would have been exposed to chemical bleaches or acids. 

As a result, the Jade stone would  become a lot more transparent. Grade C types would have had its translucency lost. Meaning, the effects are not great and the Jade piece would be stained or dyed.

Of course, the best thing to do when looking for Jade jewelry, is to talk to an expert. This stops dealers passing on glass, plastic, and faux Jade.

Being used by almost every culture around the world, Jade jewelry goes down in ancient history. Used for burial ceremonies in China and the belief of being able to turn the mortal to immortal, Jade was originated in Europe and integrated into the Chinese culture. 

Jadeite and Nephrite are two different forms, they differ in chemical composition to Jadeite. Nephrite is popular and found all over the world, whilst Jadeite is mainly found in Burma and Guatemala. Binding your love forever, Jade rings are an excellent choice!
