What is the Difference Between Palm, Soya and Sunflower Oil?

Derived from the pulp of the fruit, palm oil is an edible vegetable fat. As it has a high source of Vitamin A, it tends to be very red in colour. Due to its high saturation, this oil is commonly used in cooking. 

Without containing any cholesterol, palm oil is one of few. Increasing good cholesterol and reducing bad cholesterol, is a health benefit commonly from palm oil.

Extracted from the seeds of the soybean, we have a widely consumed product, known as soybean oil. Found in many processed foods, it slowly hardens when exposed to air, so it is known as a drying oil. 

Soybean oil is also used in ink and oil formulations, this is because it turns into a flexible and transparent solid. It also turns waterproof.

Sunflower oil is very high in vitamins A, D and E, and low in saturated fat. Sunflower oil commonly used as frying oil for food. This is an amber colour with a mild flavor. Refined oil, however, is a pale yellow colour. Forming most of the fat stored in the body, sunflower oil acts as a fatty acid. This is an important energy source though.
