In the first half of 2019, the stock market was nearly all-time high boosting investment portfolios where the CNBC US Millionaire Survey for spring 2019 found individuals with $1 million or more as investable can expect at least 5 per cent or more returns from the S&P 500. Most millionaires are not expecting to alter their current portfolio. Amidst trade war issues and other geopolitical tensions, the investors are bullish on stocks.

Such investments represent a claim over the company’s asset in exchange for money. Stocks, equities and shares are the same, where stocks represent a kind of security, and shares indicate the kind of ownership, which is relative to the number of outstanding shares. Historically, such investments have outperformed in the long run. Many new investors just have an outliner, in terms of, diversification in it. Investors can use a combination of large, multi and mid-caps from multiple growing sectors like financials, energy, health care and technology to diversify the portfolio.

Technology is a growing sector and is one of the top choices and favourite of investors. Although the portfolio can be changed anytime, it is advised to keep the selected list of stocks and other assets for a year; at the same time as, during turmoil, the investors can use options like hedges (precious metals, real estate & collectibles) to protect their portfolio.
